TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Delta Galil Industries, Ltd. (DELT/Tel Aviv Stock Exchange,
DELTY.PK/OTCQX), the global manufacturer and marketer of branded and
private label apparel products for men, women and children, announced
today that its CEO, Isaac Dabah, has been selected as “Business Leader
of the Year” for 2014 by Calcalist, a leading financial newspaper based
in Israel.
“The winning companies are examined throughout the year based on their
performance, salaries and the quality of their debt – and this is our
opportunity to honor and thank them”
Calcalist annually rates the CEOs of 50 leading companies traded in the
Israeli Stock Exchange TA-100 Index. The rating, completed by 100 senior
executives, analysts, underwriters and investment managers in the
Israeli market, is based on four criteria – reliability, consideration
of shareholders, performance and transparency.
“I am honored to receive this award, and grateful to Calcalist and the
investment community for recognizing Delta Galil’s accomplishments,”
said Mr. Dabah. “Delta’s innovative team of associates has been the
driving force in our company’s growth and success. Our employees share a
spirit of integrity, creativity, curiosity and commitment – with their
passion and exceptional performance leading us to 21 consecutive
quarters of growth.”
Throughout Mr. Dabah’s seven years as CEO, he has transformed Delta
Galil into a global producer of branded and private label intimate
apparel, socks and activewear, increasing sales by 13% annually in the
last five years and growing profits by 34% annually. The Company
produces more than 1 million units per day for the top brands in the
world, including Lacoste, Nike, Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Tommy
Hilfiger, among others. Under Mr. Dabah’s leadership, Delta Galil
acquired German intimates brand Schiesser. Today, the Company has the
number one men’s underwear brand in Germany, Switzerland, Holland and
Austria, and the number one market share in men’s and ladies intimates
in Israel with the Delta brand.
“The winning companies are examined throughout the year based on their
performance, salaries and the quality of their debt – and this is our
opportunity to honor and thank them,” said Galit Chemi, Editor in Chief
of Calcalist. “We always find that the most successful executives are
not necessarily those that appear in the headlines, but those who
perform their jobs quietly and bring value to their shareholders. It is
not surprising that we have found those companies that are characterized
by steady management and a long term strategy at the top of our list
year after year, among them Delta Galil.”
