NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Delta Galil Industries, Ltd. (DELT/Tel Aviv Stock Exchange,
DELTY.PK/OTCQX), the global manufacturer and marketer of branded and
private label apparel products for men, women and children today
announced that it has hired Karen Neuburger as a design consultant on
its KN Karen Neuburger brand. Neuburger will oversee the development of
several new initiatives for the sleepwear brand renowned for its
signature comfortable pajamas in friendly floral prints.
“We are thrilled to welcome Karen back to the brand”
“We are thrilled to welcome Karen back to the brand,” said Victoria
Vandagriff, President of D2 Brands, the division of Delta Galil that is
home to the KN brand. “She built the brand from the ground up and put
the concept of comfortable “All Day” sleepwear on the map. We see so
much opportunity and look forward to expanding the brand with the help
of Karen.”
“Comfort with who we are and comfort in how we feel is important for all
women,” said Neuburger. “I believe I'm extremely qualified to address
this need for comfort and do it in a updated fashion-meets-form way and
am thrilled to be doing it again for my namesake brand.”
Neuburger developed her namesake line of comfy cozy pajamas in the early
1990’s, designing the first pajama prototype for herself. She hit the
ground running showcasing her pajamas in Nordstrom’s and quickly
becoming Oprah Winfrey's very first Favorite Thing in 1996. Karen's
pajamas even sparked a "comfort movement" with women across the country
actively seeking out her soft, forgiving pajama styles in lieu of other,
more restrictive clothing. The brand eventually expanded into multiple
categories including home furnishings; socks; bath and body; and
scrapbooking. After years of building the Company, Neuburger decided to
explore other passions and took a hiatus from the business in 2009.
