The internationally renowned Pantone Color Institute recently declared that they have chosen Greenery as Color of the year for 2017, meaning it is the leading color and color scheme representing the year to come.
The Pantone Color of the Year is a symbolic color selection; a snapshot of what will be taking place in global culture and an expression of a mood and an attitude. For 2017 Pantone chose a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings. Green is reflected by all things expressive of nature in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices. The new Delta Galil look and logo are also reflecting on the same issues, and it is only natural that in the same way this company-wide change during 2016 was meant to refresh and invigorate the Delta Galil presence.
Delta Galil CEO, Isaac Dabah, explains the new Delta Galil look and color selection:
“Over the last four decades, we have grown, developed and matured. We have fused into one strong company, but that doesn’t mean we will ever stop challenging the ordinary. The color green was chosen to represent our environmental ethic and sense of responsibility towards sustainability. It also says that even after 40 years, we’re still young, fresh and innovative – we’ve really only just begun.”
Another person with a direct connection to the Delta Galil look is Iris Heller, Head of the graphic design department, who, together with her team, is setting the tone for the Delta Galil image:
“For me, green is always a fresh look, always renewed. It transcends fashion and passing trends, and our spirit is like that as well. The different shades of green in our logo opens up a variety of interpretations, just like the many sides to Delta Galil.
In our daily operations green is also very much present. We add a touch of color to everything; from digital presentations to packages we design. Even the interior design of our HQ building is using green to express that Delta spirit and bring it to the workplace.”
