The Junior Account Manager for the men’s underwear/loungewear team will be responsible for achieving profitable sales and service efforts for their line. The Junior Account Manager will possess in-depth knowledge of the apparel industry with a focus on men’s intimates and work with a cross-functional team of associates.
This is a full time position at our New-York, NY offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Account Manager to develop and execute sales plan to expand business.
Manage and grow Specialty Stores business
Support growth in Ecommerce channel
Manage seasonal deliveries by working closely with production and warehouse teams regarding shipments.
Communicate with buying teams to secure orders, process PO’s upon receipt and communicate all delivery changes as needed.
Maintain monthly ship logs to ensure optimum order fulfillment
Liaison between all internal & external cross-functional partners including Buying, Planning, Licensor, and Design partners
Develop an intimate knowledge of product categories and maintain thorough understanding of the industry through competitive market analysis, retail pricing, assortment planning and seasonal comp shop reports.
Ability to identify “white space” and/or emerging trends to drive volume and provide new ideas through innovation.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in merchandising or the equal lent
3-7 years’ experience in Apparel/Men’s innerwear (Fashion/Wholesale) industry
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proactive thinker with excellent collaborative skills and positive attitude
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation skills
Strong project planning skills, project management skills, and attention to details
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook required
Ability to multi-task is a must
Knowledge of manufacturing process a plus
Ability to travel if needed
