HR Generalist

Manages various human resources programs, and processes in a Manufacturing and Distribution Center environment. In partnership with the HR Director, supports the lifecycle of the employee, including onboarding, job changes, promotions, pay changes, terminations and other job changes, consulting with assigned client group as needed.

Responsible for supporting employee benefit functions, including managing the enrollment process (open enrollment and new enrollment), managing communication plans for client group, and assisting employees with benefit questions for their designated client group(s). Manage LOA and workers’ compensation claims with client group.  Assist the HR Director with Employee Relations as intake of employee conduct issues, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline. This is a full time position at our Williamsport, PA offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Implements various Human Resources projects to support department objectives including company events.

Manages Leaves of Absence for client group.

Responsible for sourcing, tracking, onboarding and off boarding of all employees and temporary employees (freelancers, contractors, etc.)

Responsible for exit interviews.

Assists with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures such as manuals, handbooks, new hire paperwork and other related items.

Conducts all New Hire Orientations.

Assists with coordinating all aspects of Employee Benefits including new enrollments, changes, terminations and open enrollment for client groups.

Initial intake of employee relations, employee conduct issues/investigations, conflict resolution and progressive discipline.

Responsible for managing workers compensation claims as well as participates in safety committee as it relates to workers compensation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field; and a minimum of 4+ years Human Resources experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Minimum 4 years’ experience within an HR Distribution and Manufacturing environment.

Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Communicate clearly and concisely (written, oral and presentation skills)

Pro-actively plan, schedule and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Maintain confidential information.

Read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures and other business practices, guidelines and documents.

Advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, strong analytical skills and reporting skills.

Willing and able to work additional hours when required.

Light Travel required. (10%)

Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25lbs., depending on need of the project required.
