Responsible for directing the overall business planning and forecasting processes for the company while reporting directly into the CFO. Responsibilities will also include the financial impact and modeling aspects of various prospective financial initiatives and transactions including the company’s retail unit.
This is a full time position at our Los Angeles, CA offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Directs the preparation and review of financial budgets, forecasts and long term plans.
Develops all planning calendars, standardized formats/templates for budget and forecast processes to be used by various operating departments.
Consolidates all financial plans and reports all results on a consolidated basis.
Tracks and reports performance against established plans or goals on financial and non-financial metrics.
Provides timely and accurate analysis of operating and financial performance to support management decision-making.
Ensures communication regarding business plans and budgets across all functions and corporate groups.
Provides complex financial modeling and analysis relating to changing trends in the business and also to prospective financial initiatives and transactions including investments, acquisitions and divestitures.
Actively supports the brand’s commitment to quality and all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
Performs special projects and additional duties as assigned by the CFO.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration; CPA designation preferred.
7-10 year experience, including strategic forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and modeling experience in a public company environment.
Supervisory experience with the ability to hire, train, direct, develop and retain others.
Demonstrated high level of competency in the execution of a wide range of projects and deployment of best practices, competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management with customers, vendors and employees at all levels.
Expert knowledge of GAAP requirements and accounting functions required.
Must be an effective change agent with strong strategic vision and the interpersonal and team building skills.
Must have excellent analytical and math skills, in addition to written, negotiation, presentation & verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to complete assignments within time frame specified by the Controller.
Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
