Director, Merchandising

The Head Merchandiser is a leadership position responsible for the merchandising all Delta stores in Israel. This position has a focus on the men’s and ladies intimate apparel products. Responsibilities include leading a team of merchants whom each manage the different intimate apparel divisions.
This is a full time position at our Caesarea, Israel Offices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead merchandising and planning strategies to maximize ROI by leveraging insights about customers and drive the calendar process

Lead and inspire the vision of the Intimate Apparel products within all 170 Delta stores

Direct research and development initiatives, lead insightful competitor research initiatives and make thoughtful recommendations for store setups

Lead the merchandising team in their role to remain disciplined on the calendar timeline and give guidelines to design as far as brief and SKU counts

Regularly shop the Intimates market to spot trends and competitors advances to stay well-informed

Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executives to establish and expand strong long-lasting customer relationships

Liaise between customers and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful calendar

Identify opportunities for process improvement and integrate consumer insights into the stores

Evaluate the roles and responsibilities of the Merchandising function and make adjustments for maximum effectiveness

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor Degree required

Minimum of 15 years’ experience managing a large team across multiple divisions

Exceptional merchandising leader with a proven history of commercially successful product experience

Direct report responsibility for Merchandising team in Caesarea, Israel

Must have intimate apparel product knowledge

Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

Must be an innovator – think outside the box, proactive with a passion to win

Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence cross-functionally

Ability to communicate well within and outside the organization

Team player and problem solver to drive high volume business growth and bottom line results

Motivated, highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities

Strong organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication

Frequent travel to the U.S.
